[Part I]
[Intro: Future]
Drop your location, she think she me or sum’ (Hendrix)
Put on my chains, now she think she me or sum’

[Verse 1]
You said, “Speak from your mind
The words that it finds
Come out of your soul, a part of the whole”
You said, “What does it change?
Both of us know
After tonight, there …
[TONY]
Maria…
The most beautiful sound I’ve ever heard:
Maria, Maria, Maria, Maria…
All the beautiful sounds of the world in a single word:
Maria, Maria, Maria, Maria…
Maria, Maria…
Maria!
I’ve just met a girl named Maria
And …
[Verse 1]
What happens in dreams where we fly?
Never been as high as tonight
Staring through a window in time
For someone to show me what I’m like
He said, “Hello”, it’s like a …
[Verse 1]
Oh-oh-oh, every little smile hides a little lie
Could cut the silence with a knife
Subatomic bliss is nothing left to miss
It’s just empty Russian roulette
[Pre-Chorus]
Try to brush it off my …
I want you1 by my side
So that I never feel alone again2
They’ve3 always been so kind
But now they’ve brought you away from here
I hope they didn’t get your mind4
Your heart is too strong anyway
We need to fetch back the time5
They have stolen from us
And I want you
We can bring it on the floor
You’ve never danced like this before6
We don’t talk about it
Dancin’ on do the boogie all night long
Stoned7 in paradise, shouldn’t talk about it8
And I want you
We can bring it on the floor
You’ve never danced like this before
We don’t talk about it
Dancin’ on do the boogie all night long
Stoned in paradise, shouldn’t talk about it
Shouldn’t talk about it
Coldest winter for me9
No sun is shining anymore
The only thing I feel is pain10
Caused by absence of you11
Suspense is controlling my mind
I cannot find the way out of here12
I want you by my side
So that I never feel alone again
And I want you
We can bring it on the floor
You’ve never danced like this before
We don’t talk about it
Dancin’ on do the boogie all night long
Stoned in paradise, shouldn’t talk about it
And I want you
We can bring it on the floor
You’ve never danced like this before
We don’t talk about it
Dancin’ on do the boogie all night long
Stoned in paradise, shouldn’t talk about it
Shouldn’t talk about it
And I want you
We can bring it on the floor
You’ve never danced like this before
We don’t talk about it
Dancin’ on do the boogie all night long
Stoned in paradise, shouldn’t talk about it
And I want you
We can bring it on the floor
You’ve never danced like this before
We don’t talk about it
Dancin’ on do the boogie all night long
Stoned in paradise, shouldn’t talk about it
Shouldn’t talk about it
“You” in this song refers to addictive drugs. While the song may be partially about marijuana, marijuana is not commonly addictive, so Milky Chance may likely have experimented with other “harder” narcotics.
A sense of loneliness, and even depression, is often eradicated when one is high from extensive drugs use.
“They” are those who try to protect him from the use of narcotics, perhaps family members or supportive friends.
Here, Milky Chance is personifying the drugs of his choice, hoping that although they are gone (at least for now), perhaps they won’t lose their effect when they are eventually recovered.
Time is not always experienced chronologically when one is under the influence of narcotics. This is another reference to drugs.
Under the influence of drugs, one perceives himself or herself as able to perform physical acts he or she could never perform. Again, “Stolen Dance” refers to the effect of drugs on the body and mind.
“Stoned” is a synonym for being high, especially from marijuana intake.
“Shouldn’t talk about it” refers to the illegality of this drug, or perhaps the lack of social acceptance of it.
Winter is the time of year that many people feel depressed and are more likely to dwell in the safety of drugs.
These lyrics are also references to depression, which drugs, at least temporarily, are able to numb.
“You” refers to drugs here as well.
Now Milky Chance is talking about withdrawal, a type of insane state experienced when a drug addict experiences extensive soberness.

I think it’s about co-dependence :
As Angels do ..
Or Demons do. .
