[Part I]
[Intro: Future]
Drop your location, she think she me or sum’ (Hendrix)
Put on my chains, now she think she me or sum’
She keep a Glock in her bag, she think …
[Part I]
[Intro: Future]
Drop your location, she think she me or sum’ (Hendrix)
Put on my chains, now she think she me or sum’
She keep a Glock in her bag, she think …
[Verse 1]
You said, “Speak from your mind
The words that it finds
Come out of your soul, a part of the whole”
You said, “What does it change?
Both of us know
After tonight, there …
[TONY]
Maria…
The most beautiful sound I’ve ever heard:
Maria, Maria, Maria, Maria…
All the beautiful sounds of the world in a single word:
Maria, Maria, Maria, Maria…
Maria, Maria…
Maria!
I’ve just met a girl named Maria
And …
[Verse 1]
What happens in dreams where we fly?
Never been as high as tonight
Staring through a window in time
For someone to show me what I’m like
He said, “Hello”, it’s like a …
[Verse 1]
Oh-oh-oh, every little smile hides a little lie
Could cut the silence with a knife
Subatomic bliss is nothing left to miss
It’s just empty Russian roulette
[Pre-Chorus]
Try to brush it off my …
Pound me the witch drums43
The witch drums
Pound me the witch drums
Pound me the witch drums
The witch drums
Better pray for hell, not hallelujah44
I’m a coat of fists
Dead and hardened spiders
Like two mangled crowns
Or the widest of the meanest coiled snakes45
Folks said I look like death46
Lived in the hotel of my eyes
Lives wide open like a whore
Painted in spit from the earth between her thighs47
Keep your halos tight,48
I’m your God or your guardian49
Keep your halo tight
One hand on the trigger, the other hand in mine50
Because now
Cupid carries a gun51
Now, now
Cupid, Cupid carries a gun
Pound me the witch drums
The witch drums
Pound me the witch drums
Pound me the witch drums
The witch drums
Better pray for hell, not hallelujah
She had those crow black eyes52
Starless, but she fucks
Like a comet53
Laid as still as a Bible54
And it felt like Revelation55 when I looked inside
Keep your halos tight,
I’m your God or your guardian
Keep your halo tight
One hand on the trigger, the other hand in mine
Keep your halos tight,
I’m your God or your guardian
Keep your halo tight
One hand on the trigger, the other hand in mine
Because now
Cupid carries a gun
Now, now
Cupid, Cupid carries a gun
Pound me the witch drums
The witch drums
Better pray for hell, not hallelujah
Better pray for hell, not hallelujah
Better pray for hell, not hallelujah
Pound me the witch drums56

The juxtaposition of shooting a weapon and holding someone’s hand creates powerful imagery that leads one to question whether violence and love can actually co-exist.
A breaking point in the song, Marilyn Manson celebrates the relationship between love and violence, insisting that the two are close friends. In mythology, cupid is a being who shoots people with a love arrow that leads them to fall in love with the first person they see after being shot.
”Crow black eyes” relates to someone with a dark soul or someone who is dead, whether physiologically or just spiritually.
Marilyn Manson sings here about necrophilia, which is sexual activity with a corpse.
”As still as a Bible” means “dead.” Marilyn Manson is saying that religion is dead, just as this lady’s body is dead.
Revelation is the last book of the Bible. It is widely believed that this book is about the end of the world.

Ok, I’m pretty sure the song is not about necrophilia or just pure celebration of the darkness, satanism, witchcraft and such… He’s working with metaphores, so please don’t take the words actual meaning so strictly. It’s the reason why people in general think Marilyn Manson Is pure evil. Yes, he’s against religion but he’s an artist, expressing feelings and inner thoughts whithin symbols. Just because you’re not able to understand art and poetry doesn’t mean it’s bad or even evil. (He’s our modern Baudelaire.)
